Icepocolypse 2

Ok, so maybe we weren’t “trapped”, but it certainly felt like it.

Here’s what we did this weekend…

The after-effects of icepocalypse. I got home from work on Friday after a harrowing drive on the Tollway. The second I parked the car in the garage, I didn’t leave one time until Monday morning. Normally, I wouldn’t mind spending the weekend at home and not go anywhere. The difference is: the choice to do it. When you’re “trapped” in your home, and you can’t leave, that’s when you want to. – David

We got out a couple of times, but mostly just hunkered down and chilled out. Went for a walk Saturday in Reverchon Park, and got some great photos. Travel in Tarrant, Denton and western counties was much worse that in Dallas proper, but everything looked fantastic. I literally haven’t left the house this weekend. (Please note…I took this pic throught the blinds!) I think I’ve been in the same clothes since Friday. Ok, there’s no thinking about it…I stayed in the same clothes all weekend long! I did manage to hit the store before I got home on Friday. I got enough stuff for chili, chicken and dumplings, and hot chocolate. The three essential food groups for surviving the icepocalypse. Of course, James (the hubby) was rubbing it in my face last night that he doesn’t have school today. I was going stir crazy, so I’m actually happy to be at work this morning. Meanwhile, the dogs are also restless. I feel bad…I need to take Major for a walk but it’s so cold and I have an irrational fear that his paws will stick to the ice. – Rebekah
