Blake: Doobie Brothers – “Southbound”

The long-awaited album Southbound, a collection of classic Doobie Brothers songs turned into country duets, finally has a full tracklist.

According to Rolling Stone Country, the album’s 12 cuts will feature:

  • Zac Brown Band performing “Black Water”
  • Chris Young taking on “China Grove”
  • Blake Shelton singing “Listen to the Music”
  • Sara Evans singing “What a Fool Believes”
  • Love and Theft taking on “Takin’ It to the Streets”

Each artist will duet with either Tom Johnston or Michael McDonald, the Doobie Brothers’ two famous frontmen.

Hunter Hayes and Vince Gill will also appear on the album as guitarists only.

Southbound comes out on November 4, with pre-orders available now.

I’m looking forward to hearing this project!
