Bee Gees To Receive Permanent Honor In Home Town

The Bee Gee’s Barry, Robin, Maurice and Andy, grew up in Redcliffe Australia, around 600 miles north of Sydney on Australia’s east coast.

Redcliffe is in the process of creating a permanent tribute to the Bee Gees, and will open Stage Two of Bee Gees Way, an outdoor tribute, September 11. .

Barry Gibb has been deeply involved in helping develop and approve the new concepts, content, and said, “My memories of my time in Redcliffe are as vivid today, as when I was running around barefoot with my brothers exploring its many treasures.”

He thanks the Moreton Bay Regional Council for allowing him to “share even more memories of my time in Redcliffe, stories from different eras of our lives and career, and honor my brothers Robin, Maurice and¬†Andy. Having a public walkway named in our honor — right where our journey as the Bee Gees began — is humbling.”

In this case, the old saying, “You can never go home”, is gently washed away into the tide off Redcliffe. Such a warm expression of love from Redcliffe… to the Brothers Gibb.
