Bears, cellphone, and selfie stick…oh my!!!

Waterton Canyon, a park near Denver, had to close down because too many people are using their selfie sticks to try and snag a selfie with the wild bears. People are getting as close as 10 feet from the bears, then turning their backs to them in order to get the perfect shot. In fact, the hashtag #bearselfie has become increasingly popular!!!

“It is a poor choice from our perspective, to get that close to wildlife and to turn your back, particularly on bears,’” said Matt Robbins, a spokesman for Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Ya think??
