Well, this is truly a sad day. It looks like we’re going to have to say goodbye to the man bun. I know I’m really broken up about it. Man, I wish there was a sarcastic font. Let’s try this…I know I’m really broken up about it.
I can only imagine ladies everywhere are rejoicing! Apparently, the top know fashion statement can be hazardous to you health, your physical health! It can cause you to go bald!!!
When wearing a tight bun firmly affixed to the top of your head, it creates tension on your hair follicles. This tension causes patches of hair to fall out. It’s called traction alopecia. According to Dermatologist Sabra Sullivan, she’s starting to see this trend more and more…about twice a week! She says men are “putting traction on the hair follicles that the hair is not really meant to take. Traction alopecia in men is becoming more common.”
Did you hear that fellas? Stop wearing the man bun immediately! I’m looking at you Leo DiCaprio!
Unfortunately, there’s even more bad news! The top knot hair style also applies to women!
Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! The librarian bun is my new favorite, lazy hairstyle!!! What am I going to do now?
