Most Relaxed Cities in the Country

Is DFW – ‘the metroplex’ – too crowded, too expensive for you? Check out this list.

Places in the country that move at a more relaxed pace.

Financial technology company SmartAsset looked at such factors as the average work-week length and daily commute, to the divorce rate and percentage of the population that exercises regularly to determine the least-stressed cities in the country.

Madison, Wisconsin
Duluth, Minnesota
Boulder, Colorado
Columbia, Missouri
Fargo, North Dakota
Fort Collins, Colorado
Lawrence, Kansas
Ann Arbor, Michigan
Bloomington, Illinois

College towns seem to be a lot more relaxed than other cities. It might be because universities typically provide stable employment, good pay and reasonable work hours. The cost of living in college towns also tends to be lower and the residents have a higher quality of life.

But… Fargo?
