I’ve never laid eyes on a photo of one of these animals and now I can’t take my eyes off of it. The pika are found – if they’re found at all – in a northwestern China mountain range. They’re only 8 inches long and haven’t been photographed since 1990.
In fact, the pika was only discovered seven years prior in 1983.
The pika is an endangered species due to climate change and habitat loss. It continually needs to retreat to higher elevations in search of snow.
I wonder if they bite?
