Report: Prince Fielder to Retire from Baseball

He sure was fun to watch all these years. Sad news for baseball fans and especially for Prince Fielder. His second neck surgery in two years is forcing him to leave baseball.

Prince was drafted by the Brewers in 2002, traded to Detroit where he played for more than a decade. They traded him to the Rangers for Ian Kinsler in 2013.

His latest neck surgery July 29th after batting .247 so far this season with 3 homeruns and 16 RBI in 42 games. He’ll retire with the same number of homers as his dad, Cecil. Wow.

The Rangers will hold a press conference tomorrow.
