The Dallas Morning News reports Toyota CEO Jim Lentz said today that around 4,000 current Toyota employees in California, New York and Kentucky have been asked to move to the company’s new 100-acre seven-building headquarters near The Dallas North Tollway and Legacy Dr. Approximately 70% are expected to do so.

Lentz continued noting over 1,000 more would be hired, and approx. 350 jobs have already been posted
Toyota plans to hire more than 1,000 people for jobs at it’s new Plano headquarters, and according to Lentz, most of the positions will be in finance, quality engineering, information systems, sales and marketing.

This is another strong indicator of higher housing prices and bidding wars to come in the Plano area.
