Hard Workers vs. Naturally Talented Employees?

Looking for a new professional challenge?

If you or someone you know in the area is currently in the DFW area job market, jobs are bountiful and the current unemployment rate is around 4%.

When it comes to actually landing a new job, Forbes reports a new survey which reveals hiring managers are more likely to hire a person whom they feel is naturally talented, versus a hard worker.

I find this interesting, especially when you consider the possibility of a “naturally talented” person not putting in the amount of dedication a hard worker will. Seems to me a balance of the two is best towards long-term success.

If you or someone you know is a hiring manager, ask yourself/them, which do you look for in a new employee – a “naturally talented” person, or a “hard worker”?
