It’s no secret that Thanksgiving is the best of the eatin’ holidays. There’s always a lot of prep work involved between thawing and cooking a fifteen pound turkey, making a million different sides options to make all your guests happy, and don’t forget the ever so glorious pumpkin pie.

In all actuality, more time is spent getting everything ready than the meal itself. That’s why you text, email, and call your entire family to make sure everyone shows up for the feast. Sometimes that text includes a total stranger.

Jamal Hinton is that stranger. Hinton got a random text inviting him to Thanksgiving dinner. Since he didn’t know the number, he asked who was inviting him to dinner. The response was simply, “Your grandma.”

Of course, it was not Hinton’s real grandmother, which they discovered after sending each other pictures. However, that didn’t stop Hinton from asking if he could still get a plate. And as all good grandmas do, she said, “Of course you can. That’s what grandma’s do…feed everyone.”

How cute is that!!!! We’re really hoping he shows up next Thursday.
