Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) is now 17, and looking ahead
Last month, Riggs posted this.
On Nov. 17, Riggs’ dad posted this.
Now, after surviving last night’s run-in with Negan (minus The NeaganNoggin’ Knocker… whew!), one has to wonder what’s ahead for Carl?
According to the The Hollywood Reporter, Riggs truly hopes to pursue his education and continue with the series, “”I really do hope it works out because that would be really cool. I like to be in The Walking Dead and I like to play video games and just hang out with my friends and try to be as normal as possible so going to college would be another really cool, normal experience in my life. I want for it to work out.” Riggs also noted, “Theoretically, I could take one or two classes on campus and maybe an online class. My professors would have to be willing to cooperate. It wouldn’t be easy but I think that could be possible.”
Can Riggs piece the educational and career puzzle together, simultaneously?
Next week is the season 7 finale of The Walking Dead, and when it comes to whether or not Riggs has a contract for season 8, he told The Hollywood Reporter, “I can’t answer that.”
Carl has been such an important part of the series since the beginning, but now it seems, no one is sacred, and anything is possible.
Best wishes to Chandler Riggs on his college education, and hope he can continue with the series.
