It’s the Santa Claus story that’s going super-viral.
Santa – in this case, one of Santa’s helpers named Eric Schmitt-Matzen of Knoxville, Tennessee – got a call from a nurse at a local hospital. There was a little boy who was very sick, and probably wasn’t going to make it to Christmas. Could Santa come to see him, and quickly?
Santa got to the hospital as quickly as he could, and was met by the child’s sorrowful family outside the boy’s room. Could Santa say something to him, or even spend a few silent moments with him as the end drew closer?
What happened then became the subject of the local newspaper column that spread the story, and now the entire country is talking about the little boy who passed in Santa’s arms. Have your Kleenex ready.
