Maria Cordona arrived at her East Dallas home Monday night only to find her bedroom window wide open. She phoned the police before ever stepping foot in the house. Her drawers and closet doors were open, but nothing of value appeared to be taken, until she looked under her Christmas Tree.
The three gifts meant for her children, Alana, 3, and Adrian, 1, and were given by family members. Police asked for a description of the presents, and left. Maria thought was the end. 24 hours later, three Dallas officers returned to her home, this time with gifts in tow, to replace the ones that had been stolen.
Cordona was overwhelmed, saying “They really didn’t have to do that. She’ll be so happy about it.” She thanked and hugged the officers, and promised that she will tell Alana that the presents came from her very own Secret Santa.
