First there were sleeping pods in airports. Now, some schools in New Mexico are testing sleeping pods, and according to NBC News.

The National Institutes of Health recommend 9-10 hours of sleep per night for teens, but due to only around 33% getting 8 hours, some schools in Las Cruces are giving students the opportunity to take a 20-minute sleeping pod nap between classes.

The sleeping pods are financed through state mental health grants and a 20 minute nap returns them to class, refreshed.

Hmm? If a student has the time, why not? Why sit around doing nothing in study hall if you’re assignments are up to date. Twenty-minute naps are proven to refresh your mind. For many years, my brother took one during his lunch hour, and he said it was extremely beneficial to him.
