The cast of FOX’s talent show is being cut by more than half. Steve Jones the shows host, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger are also not coming back to the show next year.

Jones tweeted about his departure the other day.

I wont be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I cant complain as I've had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show.—

The only remaining members of the original cast will be Simon Cowell & L.A. Reid.  We’ll see where X-Factor goes from here.  No word yet on who the new host or judges might be.

All the surviving members of the legendary MONTY PYTHON comedy troupe may be part of an upcoming science fiction comedy called “Absolutely Anything”. JOHN CLEESE, TERRY GILLIAM, MICHAEL PALIN and TERRY JONES are all involved.

Jones is directing, while the other three are playing, quote, “aliens and possibly several other additional roles, in true ‘Python’ fashion.”

The other surviving member of the group, ERIC IDLE, may also join the cast . . . and ROBIN WILLIAMS will be in it, too.

Jones says, quote, “It’s not a Python film.  It’s a different thing.  It’s not really that we’re all getting back together.”  (–It’s not clear if Jones will appear ON camera as well as direct.)

While at the Watermill Hotel in Paisley, Scotland, Stewart bought drinks for more than 40 soccer fans prior to going over to St. Mirren Park to see his beloved Celtic Football Club score a 2-to-0 win over St. Mirren.

He also posed for a photo with his fellow fans.

Hotel director Sylvia Lavizani says, “Some of the staff almost fainted when they saw him, but he was so generous and friendly. We were amazed when he got the drinks.”

Always busy, Stewart performs in Jakarta, Indonesia today (Tuesday 1/31/12). ~JZ.

The flood of fans hoping to score tickets to one or more of his New Jersey and/or New York area shows were left out in the cold due to hiccups on the Ticketmaster website.

The snafu led the Boss himself to post the following Ticketmaster message on his website: “We have been experiencing highly abnormal traffic patterns on our site this morning that have impacted the fan buying experience for some customers. We are investigating the source of the problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible, but tickets are selling so please stay patient. We will update fans as we know more.”

Snubbed fans have another option: tickets for Springsteen shows are already selling on StubHub.

If not for that last option, they would have all been sent to a SNUB-HUB. ~JZ.

Thirty years ago, they joined forces on “Ebony and Ivory,” which went to number-one in both the U.S. and U.K. Now, they’ve teamed up again for “On Our Hearts,” an original track from McCartney’s upcoming love songs collection Kisses on the Bottom. Befitting a pair of legends, Paul and Stevie cut the tune at Hollywood’s famed Capitol Studios.

On PaulMcCartney.com the Liverpool lad talks about working with his Motown pal:

“Stevie came along to the studio in L.A. and he listened to the track for about 10 minutes and he totally got it. He just went to the mic and within 20 minutes had nailed this dynamite solo. When you listen you just think, ‘How do you come up with that?’ But it’s just because he is a genius, that’s why’.” ~JZ.
