Hundreds Of Ride Share Bikes Spotted At Recycling Facility

August 6, 2018

Hundreds of ride share bikes are at a Dallas recycling center waiting to be recycled.

A picture of  Ofo bikes piled high at the CMC Recycling Facility is making the rounds on social media.

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings re-tweeted the picture yesterday with one word : Terrible.

The mayor's offices calls the recycling of all those bikes a terrible waste, but Ofo responded saying they are donating other bikes in good working condition to several local organizations including City Square and Bikes for Tykes.

Ofo, the Chinese ride share operator with bright yellow bikes pulled out of the Dallas after the city approved charging operators and $800 a year fee plus a yearly fee of $21 per bike.
