  • Teen and Tween Comics Workshop at Garland Central Library - the website notes, "Teens and tweens can express their creativity and utilize their STEAM art skills by attending a Teen Summer Reading Program cartooning workshop at Garland’s Central Library. Graphic novelist Andy Hirsch, of the Science Comics and Garfield series, will discuss the creation of comics and help each participant make their own cartoon."

  • Summer Rhythms Concert Series - Walk This Way (Aerosmith Tribute) at Little Elm Park - according to their Facebook page, "Summer Rhythms Concert Series brings live music every Friday night this June at Little Elm Park. Bring family and friends to enjoy live bands in the park for FREE Friday Summer nights this June!

  • Addison Summer Series at Beckert Park - website details include, "Friday in Addison has never been hotter. Every Friday night from 7-9pm in Addison's Beckert Park or Addison Circle Park, enjoy a variety of great music under a blanket of North Texas stars at Addison Summer Series. This 13-week celebration of Summer features your favorite local bands from tribute to salsa, country to jazz. Please note that the first show of each month will be at Addison Circle Park."
