Dallas' Biggest Bike Share Company To Introduce Electric Scooters and Bikes

March 15, 2018

Mary Caroline Pruitt, spokesperson for Dallas' largest bike share company LimeBike told NBC 5, "We're interested in bringing our electric scooters to Dallas. They have had tremendous success in San Diego, the Bay Area, and now, D.C., and we want to give Dallas the opportunity to try our newest products, too." Look for LimeBike electric scooters and bikes in Dallas, soon.

Robin Baldock, Executive Director of The Friends of the Katy Trail has concerns.

When it comes to bike shares, Baldock says, "It's very frustrating"... "I think that the city has failed everyone in the city by not putting guidelines into place."

Dallas city code prohibits motorized scooters on streets and sidewalks and the introduction of such to the area may become an issue.

Do you feel Dallas is ready?
