Actor/Comedian Tim Conway ('Dorf', 'SpongeBob SquarePants', 'The Carol Burnett Show') Has Passed

May 14, 2019

PEOPLE reports actor Tim Conway, known for his Dorf comedy film franchise the voice of "Barnacle Boy" in SpongeBob SquarePants, and his years of entertaining on the classic TV program The Carol Burnett Show, has passed away.

Conway's characters, including the "Oldest Man" and "Mr. Tudball", kept viewers of The Carol Burnett Show laughing, laughing, and laughing again when they watch him on the DVD releases from the show.

Tim's talent helped The Carol Burnett Show earn an Emmy in 1973, a Golden Globe in 1976, plus another Emmy in 1977 and 1978.

In 2013, Conway released his memoirs titled, "What's So Funny? My Hilarious Life."

Tim was known for impromptu and kept his Carol Burnett Show co-star Harvey Korman laughing so much, that their laughter often became just as funny as the skit they were doing.

In a 2013 Los Angeles Times interview, Conway said, "Harvey never saw what I was going to do until he was actually doing the sketch“... "As a matter of fact in the dentist sketch you can actually see Harvey wet his pants from laughing.”

It's STILL funny!!!

Prior to Tim's death, he dealt with issues from NPH (Normal Pressure Hdydrocephalus), the accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid, which causes brain ventricles to enlargen, which can cause multiple problems, including demential. Fortunately, that was not a health issue for Conway.

Tim Conway is survived by his wife of 35 years, a stepdaughter, 6 biological children, and 2 granddaughters. Tim lived a funny long life, and left us at age 85.

Tim Conway regularly made people laugh and forget whatever problems they may have had at the time. That, is a gift in itself.

Thank you, Tim! Rest in peace, you FUNNY man... :).
